HBS were appointed by the client to undertake the services design and coordination on a range of new build and refurbishment projects within the school grounds. Working as part of the same design team throughout, work included the design and build of a new kitchen and dining block; existing modifications to gas and water infrastructure; the upgrade of the main electrical infrastructure supply to the school; the conversion of the existing external swimming pool to a covered pool with full environmental controls and lighting for all year round use; the conversion of the sports hall entrance and changing facilities to provide enhanced facilities and a new sports store.

The projects were all undertaken whilst the school was in occupation with best use made of school holiday periods to minimise disruption to teaching activities.  HBS design elements included heating and ventilation, LV distribution and lighting, fire alarms, public health services together with above and below ground drainage systems.
