HBS were appointed to carry out the full detail design of the building services installations for the redevelopment of Virgin Atlantic’s new 22,000 M2 training facility in Crawley, West Sussex.

The redevelopment, from a pharmaceutical manufacturing and process facility to the new prestigious training centre, has been carried out under a number of phases which included the complete decontamination and strip-out of the old laboratories and processing plant, new services infrastructure, disaster recovery computer centre, warehouse, offices, restaurants, classrooms, auditorium, town square and aircraft training rigs hall for cabin and flight crew training.

The final phase of the project is due for completion early 2007.
