HBS were appointed as part of the design team to provide a new care facility comprising a new two storey residential building within the existing site of the Children’s Trust Complex, with single and double bedrooms, living and dining rooms, kitchens, staff rooms, specialist treatment rooms, specialist bathrooms etc for the 24 hour, 365 day care of Children with special needs.

The project included the diversion of existing site services and the incorporation of new covered walkways linking the new building to the rest of the site wide buildings.

Services included mains cold water, gas supply, gas fired LPHW heating and HWS installations, mechanical ventilation systems, comfort cooling systems to the Multi Sensory rooms, BMS automatic control systems, lighting installations, small power installations, fire alarm and detection systems, terrestrial television, FM and DAB radio systems, staff call and child listening systems, access control/intercom systems, data installations, BT telephone system installation, lightning protection system, standby generation and fire evacuation lifts.
